Job Description

Protein Evolution is looking for a highly-organized Research Associate to join our fermentation team. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who want to gain experience in an industrial laboratory setting. As part of our team, your core responsibilities include:

• Executing on well scoped workstreams (these could be diverse, from assay development, to protein production and purification)
• Interfacing with lab automation robots, software and other biological tools to run experiments 
• Analyze data, communicate findings and generate scientific reports
• Preparing biological reagents and buffer solutions for use in the laboratory
• Maintaining Fermentation Equipment 
• Demonstrated ability with aseptic techniques and microbial cultivation
• Working alongside scientists and engineers to assist in executing experiments

Qualifications

Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline and experience in a laboratory setting (e.g. internships or research projects)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to complete tasks independently, accurately and on time
• Ability to conduct tests, experiments, and/or procedures following standard or detailed protocols
• Excellent written and oral communication
