WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Belharra is seeking a highly engaged, inquisitive, detail oriented, and creative research associate with diverse expertise in quantitative mass spectrometry, HPLC and chemical biology cell culture experience.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

 Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Candidate will work closely within the proteomic team to calibrate, quality control, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation (i.e., mass spectrometry).
  • Align and support platform group through proteomic samples preparation including sample desalting, fractionation, resuspension, and transfer.
  • Prepare and analyze calibration curves for targeted mass spectrometry workflows.
  • Utilize proteomic software (i.e., Proteome Discover) to search and quantify mass spectrometry data.
  • Partner with informatics team to upload proteomics data into BTx dataportal.
  • Tissue culture experience with immortalized cell lines (suspension and adherent). Primary tissue culture experience in a plus.
  • Participate in all aspects of laboratory operations.
  • Candidate must have excellent problem-solving skills, be extremely detail oriented, and be self-motivated.
  • Strong ability to communicate with project teams through presentations.
  • Clearly and accurately document work with electronic laboratory notebooks.
  • Perform under strict timelines and work effectively across multiple projects and align with different project teams.

  • BS with 3-6 years relevant experience or MS with 0-3 years relevant experience in proteomics/HPLC/mass spectrometry experience.
  • Cell biology and molecular biology experience would be a plus.
  • General understanding of proteomic acquisition and quantitative analysis techniques (e.g., TMT, PRM).
  • Proficiency with common scientific software and data analyses (Excel, PowerPoint, GraphPad).
  • Perform all duties in keeping with the Company’s core values, policies and all applicable regulations.

Pay Scale Range (CA)
$70,000—$93,000 USD
