Job Description

The Organization

What's happening at Entrada Therapeutics? Our mission is to transform the treatment of devastating diseases by establishing a new class of medicines to engage intracellular targets that have long been considered inaccessible and undruggable.

Our Endosomal Escape Vehicle (EEV™)-therapeutics represent a fundamental advancement in the field of intracellular therapeutics. They are designed to enable the efficient intracellular delivery of a wide range of therapeutics into a variety of organs and tissues, resulting in an improved therapeutic index. Through our EEV platform, we are building a diverse pipeline of RNA-, antibody- and enzyme-based programs for the potential treatment of neuromuscular, immunological, ocular and metabolic diseases, among others.

Our lead oligonucleotide programs include ENTR-601-44 and ENTR-601-45 for the potential treatment of people living with Duchenne who are exon 44 and 45 skipping amenable, respectively, as well as our partnered candidate ENTR-701 targeting myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1).

We are a tight-knit team of experts and leaders in both therapeutic development and rare diseases and are excited to grow and attract colleagues who are ready to join a high-energy, dedicated team that likes to get things done and dramatically improve the lives of patients and their families.

The Perfect Fit

You should be versatile, self-motivated, and looking forward to rolling up your sleeves, as you will be involved in all aspects of neuromuscular and cardiac biology. Your team player mentality and excellent communication skills will allow you to collaborate effectively as you work alongside your team as well as cross-functionally.

The Opportunity

This position will support both portfolio projects as well as discovery research to identify novel targets. You will work with multidisciplinary teams cross-functionally in a matrix environment and will engage in projects with external academic or private collaborators. You will be part of a cutting-edge research team with expertise in developing mechanistic insight into disease biology in the space of neuromuscular and cardiovascular indications. Level will be determined based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ex vivo laboratory experiments, follow SOPs, and provide precise documentation.
  • Ex vivo tissue processing, including RNA isolation from muscle, JESS, qPCR/ddPCR, and ELISA.
  • Conceptualize, design, and run experiments independently.
  • Analyze data and present experimental results to an internal team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with diverse groups of scientists internally as well as externally.
  • Be scientifically curious and self-driven with good time management skills.

The Necessities

At Entrada, our passion for science, our devotion to patients and our values drive our behavior:

  • Humanity - We genuinely care about patients and about one another.
  • Tenacity - We are relentless and persistent in the pursuit of developing therapies for patients.
  • Creativity - We are creative problem solvers.
  • Collaboration - We are more than the sum of our parts.
  • Curiosity - We have a growth mindset and push conventional thought and theory.

To thrive on our team, you will need to come with:

  • BS or MS in cell biology or related discipline with 2+ years of industry experience.
  • Hands-on experience with ex vivo tissue processing, including RNA isolation, is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with rodent handling, dosing, and tissue dissection is preferred.
  • Experience working in the neuromuscular/cardiovascular field is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently to meet critical deadlines.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excited to be a part of a multidisciplinary and cross-functional team, but also able to work independently.

The Perks

As a Contractor with Entrada, you will be eligible to participate in the Company’s transportation benefit and may expense up to $150 monthly for commuting purposes. Our location in the vibrant and growing Seaport District is close to all the best that the city of Boston has to offer. You will also be able to log Holiday hours to be paid for National Holidays.
