Cortica Marin is looking for a Research Coordinator!

What will you do? 

  • Independently perform all research tasks for on-site clinical trials 
  • Operate in a self-directed manner, with support from the research coordinator team, global research coordinator, and principal investigator as needed  
  • May have responsibility of oversight of part-time research assistants  
  • Serve as a research coordinator for an investigational clinical trial, with opportunities for close exposure to the variety of trials currently underway at Cortica 
  • Communicate with families and organizations throughout the community to spread awareness of research opportunities for local children and adolescents 
  • Recruit, screen, schedule, enroll, and run participants both in-clinic and in-home 
  • Coordinate with study sponsors to ensure regulatory documents and processes are properly completed and acted upon 
  • Be highly organized with participant scheduling, internal calendars, participant data, and visit coordination. 
  • Gain applicable skills in the realm of clinical research through working with neurodiverse children and/or adolescents, study sponsors, the Cortica research team, and the expansive research network 
  • Perform various research assessments, which may include ECGs and taking vitals, or engaging with eye-tracking software, while ensuring the research visits are performed properly and efficiently 
  • Work closely with primary research coordinator and the study Principal Investigator to ensure all visit tasks are performed to protocol 
  • Ensure secure and accurate data collection, entry, and record-keeping 
  • Maintain organization of all study materials, including lab or assessment kits and investigational product 
  • Be immersed within the greater culture and community of the medical and therapeutic teams at Cortica 
  • In this role you are occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions 
  • Team members must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds 
  • Frequently travel around the community to provide accessibility to research for local families 

What you know: 

  • You have experience working with neurodiverse children and/or adolescents 
  • You have a bachelor’s degree; biological or behavioral science background (e.g., biology, neuroscience, psychology) 
  • You have clinical research experience 
  • You have 1+ years of professional experience, highlighting skills of organization and collaboration 
  • You have excellent communication skills 
  • You are motivated to work diligently in the realms of research participant interaction, data collection, and internal/external coordination 
  • You are skilled at using software and systems including electronic data capture systems and Microsoft Office products. 

Position Details: 

  • Full time 
  • In-person at Cortica Marin with access to a personal vehicle for frequent travel around the Bay Area for study visits at participant homes

The base pay range for this opening is $64,480 to $76,000. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
