Cortica is looking for a hybrid Research Coordinator!

What will you do?
- Serve as a primary research coordinator for a novel clinical device trial
- Independently perform all research tasks for designated clinical trial(s)
- Operate in a self-directed manner, with support from the global research coordinator and principal investigator
- May have responsibility of oversight of part-time research assistants
- Communicate effectively with internal team to meet study timelines and ensure study protocol is diligently followed
- Support recruitment for study participants through staff and caregiver conversations
- Balance several calendars to efficiently schedule research visits between participants, caregivers, and internal staff
- Complete all necessary tasks at study visits (includes informed consent, assessments, questionnaires, etc.)
- Ensure secure and accurate data collection, entry, and record-keeping
- Maintain proper organization of all study materials
- Communicate properly with external sponsor teams to convey study progress, general updates, and timeline
- Gain applicable skills in the realm of clinical research through working with neurodiverse children, study sponsors, the Cortica research team, and the expansive research network
- Be immersed within the greater culture and community of the research, medical, and therapeutic teams at Cortica
- In this role you are occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
- Team members must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
What you know:
- You have experience working with neurodiverse children and/or adolescents
- You have a bachelor’s degree; biological or behavioral science background (e.g., biology, neuroscience, psychology)
- You have 1-2 years clinical research experience
- You have 1-2 years of professional experience in a research environment
- You have excellent communication skills
- You are motivated to work diligently in the realms of research coordination, data collection, and internal/external coordination
- You are skilled at using software and systems including electronic data capture systems and Microsoft Office products.
Position Details:
- Full Time + Hybrid schedule
- Access to personal vehicle for frequent weekly travel between Southern California Cortica locations (greater San Diego area, Orange County, and LA area).

The base pay range for this opening is $64,480 to $76,000. According to your skill level, relevant experience, education level, and location, you will receive compensation that fits appropriately within the range.
