Research & Development Electrical Technician

What you'll do:

The R&D Electrical Technician plans, executes and reports on testing in the field of electrical power engineering. Activities will be in a team and/or individual (total R&D team size is +/- 20). Insight in and creativity are necessary to choose the test set-up and equipment for the test.

What will you do?
• You develop Electrical Protection & Control designs for MV switchgear systems
• You validate new designs with calculations, evaluations, models, prototypes and testing
• You collaborate in multidisciplinary teams for identifying and tracking spec compliance, for evaluating designs, manufacturability and product cost
• You prepare test plans, design and calculate test circuits accordingly, perform tests and verify and interpret results.

• You apply Design-for-Six-Sigma tools, such as Pugh Matrices, dFMEA's, DFA, Tolerance Studies
• You communicate with suppliers and internal and external customers.
• You provide timely information on constrains in the work responsible for and escalating whenever appropriate.
• You comply with safety regulations, taking necessary safety measures and reporting unsafe situations.

Qualifications:

Skills:

• Knowledge and preferably experience on Electrical Engineering at MBO-4 level .
• Practical experience in electro technical testing and experimenting.
• Knowledge of/interest in electrical technical standards.
• Customer oriented, eager to deliver high quality and on-time.
• Team player with flexible work-approach and integrity attitude based on facts.
• Reading, writing, speaking in Dutch & English and good communication skills.
