Why this role?
The Research Manager focuses on the monitoring and tracking of the competitive landscape and will be the key contact to provide information cross-functionally.
In this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Being the subject matter expert (SME) on key competitors' product, business, sales, and marketing/pricing strategies; always maintain a high level of knowledge and awareness, bring relevant competitive moves and macro environment factors to the attention of the right individuals across sales, marketing, product, and senior leadership
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop appropriate content, collateral, talking points, winning themes, key questions, and battle cards to enable sales to effectively compete
- Participating in product marketing positioning, messaging, and launch processes
- Developing and automating competitive intelligence collection processes and developing a repository/portal to house a number of different sources including (but not limited to) win/loss reports, secondary research (analyst reports, webinars, PR, etc.), and publicly available information
- Identifying and monitoring target market sizes and keeping a pulse on market share to uncover new market opportunities and challenges with the goal of increasing Dice's market share
- Participating in or leading qualitative and quantitative market research projects, when needed, including survey development, data analysis, reporting and presenting
For this role, we're requiring:
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Solid understanding of key primary and secondary resources to capture intelligence, and ability to analyze and explain data/insights in a compelling, unbiased and engaging way  - all while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Experience working effectively across functional teams including Product, Sales and Marketing teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated experience engaging and influencing cross-functional stakeholders and senior executives
- High attention to detail, proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously, and proficiency at leveraging resources
- Experience selecting and overseeing external vendors and outsourced partnerships
 Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Mathematics, or related fields or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in competitive or market intelligence
- 3+ years of experience in qualitative and/or quantitative marketing research
- Experience coalescing multiple sources of information into a cohesive story
- Experience with data mining, data analytics, CI tools required
- Pragmatic Product Management certification a plus

Compensation
Base salary of $90,000 -Â $125,000 per year, plus 10% annual bonus at 100% of plan targets tied to company and individual performance. Offer will depend on location and level of job-related knowledge, skills, abilities and experience.
