About the Job
This role is primarily responsible for the production of ad campaign related analytics and reporting. The Research Operations Associate manages ad effectiveness and audience insights reporting for ad campaigns purchased by our agency and advertiser clients and delivered through our media solutions. The associate needs to have a knack for and appreciation of quantitative analytics projects that include consumer survey responses and advertising campaign data housed in relational databases. Cross-functional cooperation with ad operations, client sales and service, marketing, product development and engineering are key aspects of this role as is an understanding of the advertising and marketing technology ecosystem. Attention to detail, comfort with new technology environments, big data sets and a strong interest in emerging media are essential to success in this role.
What you will be doing:
- Develop a complete understanding of our survey-based ad effectiveness measurement programs: Within 90 days be in a position to handle 3-4 inbound requests for brand funnel insights studies per week (study setup, mid-campaign reporting, end of campaign reporting) fully resolving 70% of survey-based Asana tasks
- Setup and monitor ad effectiveness research studies to initiate or check their sampling, fielding and completion - approximately 10% of time
- Build, manage and develop research reports in excel, powerpoint and in data visualization solutions to the extent possible (i.e. Tableau, Google Data Studio, Superset, etc.) - approximately 30% of time
- Establish basic operational proficiency with the Python programming language in order to execute a library of scripts provided via a syntactic interface. Â Requires comfort with Python or an openness to learning the technology - approximately 20% of time
- Complete an in-depth ComScore training program focused on delivery of network audience insights: Within 120 days, satisfactory completion of ComScore training aimed at fielding and delivering against 1-2 simplified network audience insights requests from frontline Sales and Client Service teams per week
- Query ComScore’s syndicated research tools to surface audience insights and report them in excel and powerpoint in order to describe the value to advertisers of buying media across Infillion’s network and channels - approximately 20% of time
- Increase the productivity of the research and data operations team: Within 90 days, understand how to organize (i.e. ticket) key issues and painpoints that arise during report production and study setup for our technical developers to address
- Document and escalate technical issues to teammates in a timely, organized way
- Evaluate, alongside analysts and managers research challenges and blockers related related to new opportunities, new ad campaigns, new product development and novel technology creation

What you have:
- 1+ year of experience in quantitative analysis in an educational or professional environment
- Academic or professional training in quantitative studies
- Understanding of market research, marketing science, data science or similar fields
- Proficiency in statistics, quantitative methods, etc.
- Proven ability to defend a methodology choice and identify operational and analytical tradeoffs
- Experience with ad effectiveness and experimental research designs, specifically for lift measurement a huge plus
- Experience with marketing ROI analysis, mix modeling, attribution, sales lift, etc.
- Experience with relational databases utilizing SQL, Python, etc.
- Familiarity with user experience and product testing research
- Familiarity with survey setup and programming in Qualtrics
- Familiarity with Data Science and its applications
- Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
