Research Scientist III

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Carry out sample preparation, RP-HPLC, IE-HPLC, CE, and MS instrument operation, data collection/review, and lab notebook documentation.
• Carry out study and development work for new methods and for improvements of current methods.
• Work with team members, collaborate with other project groups and team members for analytical and development work.
• Present data and share results to a broad audience.
• Perform lab maintenance work which includes ordering supplies, waste disposal, and other standard lab tasks.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in a science related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years of lab experience required.
• Demonstrated experience in written and verbal communication, using Microsoft Office tools, to a wide variety of audiences.

It would be a plus of you also possess previous experience in

• Oligonucleotide synthesis and processing.
• sgRNA analysis with HPLC, CE, GC, and LC-MS.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel between different buildings and facilities around Coralville.

• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
