Your Role and Responsibilities
The InstructLab team at the MIT-IBM Lab in Cambridge is looking for a talented and highly motivated engineer to help advance our efforts in creating the most efficient foundation models.

• Training and tuning LLM on large-scale datasets and compute
• Research alignment methods for improving LLM safety trustworthiness and robustness
• Innovate new synthetic data generation methods for generative AI

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Responsible for supporting all tooling and software engineering efforts to standardize and optimize the alignment pipeline.
• Ability to interpret machine learning research and translate it into reliable maintainable software.
• Involved in developing specialized pipelines.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Strong programming skills.
• Experience with machine learning tools and frameworks such as TensorFlow PyTorch etc.
• Experience with training large language models on a multinode cluster
