We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative candidate for the role of Research Technician. Reporting to the Scientist of Immuno-Oncology and Tumor Micronevironment, this individual will provide support to various R&D teams to help streamline daily research operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with mammalian cell culture, media preparation, cell line maintenance and reagent/inventory management of lab essentials. The candidate will be expected to work in an innovative, fast-paced, cross-collaborative biotech environment and contribute to multi-disciplinary team activities to advance our platform.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute established protocols and procedures pertaining to tissue processing, human or murine tissue dissociation, maintenance, and expansion of live cultures to support tissue banking efforts.
- Execute protocols pertaining to mammalian cell culture, media preparation and cell line maintenance to support cross functional R&D experimentation.
- Support and assist in cell and organoid banking, expanding cultures, maintaining a proper inventory.
- Collaborate with the Lab Operations team to ensure reagents and lab inventory are appropriately stocked and ordered for R&D activities.
- Provide support for a range standardized assays used in the laboratory.
- Support and assist in preparation of lab reagents, chemicals, instruments, and equipment.
- Support additional as-needed routine tasks to streamline R&D efforts across the organization.
Qualifications:
- A.S. with at least 1-2 years of relevant experience or B.S. with at least 0.5-1 years of relevant experience in cell biology and/or molecular biology.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment highly preferred.
- Prior experience with mammalian cell culture and media preparation required.
- Exposure to cell line maintenance and cell banking preferred.
- Reagent and inventory management of lab essentials highly preferred.
- Strong collaboration and inter-personal skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet important deadlines.
