ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Researcher Sr. at RootstockLabs, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our blockchain research initiatives. This position requires a deep understanding of blockchain technology, a strategic mindset, and a strong research background. You will independently lead research projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to developing innovative blockchain solutions. Additionally, you will represent the organization at industry events, influencing and shaping the broader blockchain research community.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently conduct research on blockchain-related topics, defining research questions, methodologies, and expected outcomes.
• Define research priorities and lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring impactful results.
• Contribute to identifying strategic research needs and opportunities within the evolving blockchain landscape.
• Develop and maintain the organization’s research roadmap, aligning it with broader business objectives.
• Prepare and present research findings through reports, presentations, and publications at academic and industry conferences.
• Represent the organization at industry conferences and events, delivering presentations and building the organization’s presence in the blockchain research community.
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the research team.
  

WHAT YOU BRING

• Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, with a strong research background in blockchain technology or related domains.
  Ideally, postdoctoral experience or equivalent in leading research projects, particularly in the blockchain or distributed systems space.
• Experience: Extensive experience in research with a proven track record of publishing impactful research in blockchain or related fields.
• Leadership: Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to take ownership of projects and deliver results.
• Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate theoretical research into practical applications that drive business value.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and motivate stakeholders and present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences effectively.
  Strong publication record and experience presenting at conferences.
• Software Development: Solid understanding of software development processes, including coding and algorithm design, is highly appreciated.
• Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the blockchain ecosystem and its transformative potential across various industries.
