Overview

The Space Intelligence Manager will be proficient in all JDA Space and Category Management tools. Area of focus will consist of maintaining the database, building schematics, setting up Space Automation projects and creating Space Automation scripts and training & monitoring category managers in the category space management. Furthermore, the critical area will be working in the Citrix environment to utilize the JDA tools and customize for key functions of the software programs. The manager position will report to the Sr. Director, Space Intelligence though daily activities which will require the manager to work in a highly-collaborative team environment with other members of Sales, Marketing, Operations, IT as well as other groups within Enterprise Insights & Analytics Team

Primary Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the product library and image library across the organization
• Help create an ecosystem to build the best-in-class space intelligence capabilities
• Standardize key features of the software programs in Citrix such as tables, highlighting, labels, charts, layouts, DSN connections, batch printing, and PDF file conversion
• Set up Space Automation process for Trade Development & Space Intelligence Managers to maximize the efficiency of creating schematics
• Create Space Automation scripts
• Build schematics for wine, spirits, non-alcoholic, malt beverages and displays
• Communicate and train all users of category space management tools

Additional Primary Responsibilities

• Possess the knowledge of category and space management principles to help execute strategies of internal and external customers
• Promote best practices and work as a consultant in the category space management
• Work collaboratively with National Account and key Supplier teams
• Be recognized as the 'Space Thought Leader' within National TD and SI, with an expert level of understanding surrounding Space Management principles, theories and best practices
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and five years of experience or equivalent education and related experience
• Five years as a Category Management / Space Management professional (with heavy space management focus) and preferably in the beverage alcohol category leading a team-high profile team
• Proven leadership and team building experience in the following:
  • Space planning applications, automation, and efficiencies (JDA, EYC)
  • Space Automation, Assortment Tools, Citrix Server, Relational Database design/integration, Syndicated data (Nielsen/IRI), POS data, Shipment data, HH Panel, Spectra
  • Spreadsheet development and maintenance
  • Dashboard design and report development capabilities
  • Data visualization applications and presentation
  • The demonstrated ability to provide strategic recommendations to optimize space productivity
  • An understanding of inventory management strategies

Physical Demands

• Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or mobile device
• Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
• May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
