Resource Analyst Level II
Location: McLean, VA
Schedule: Full Time
OVERVIEW
Caribou Thunder is seeking a Resource Analyst Level II to support an office that provides resource analysis through creation and management of funding transfers, forecasts, tracking execution rates, along with correcting and adjusting budget estimates for funding transfers. This position is in the front office of a large department collaborating with a team of 5-6 co-workers and managers at multiple locations.
Office operates on a standard core business hour schedule; however, flexibility is an option. During certain times of the Fiscal Year, there may be a requirement to work extended hours, but would be uncommon. Travel is voluntary. Core Hours are 8-4pm but the office is flexible

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Associate's degree or higher in any business-related field with preference in finance/accounting; or 5+ years of finance/accounting experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Host quarterly forecast review meetings with the customer base.
- Analyze financial data and reconcile system transactions to reflect directed shifts in resource allocations to ensure financial systems are accurate and timely.
- Provide recommendations based on analysis for budget planning. This includes reconciliation and review for accuracy and error identification.
- Prepare quarterly portfolio briefings tailored to specific external customers.
- Maintain real time status and provide recommendations of a large portfolio to drive data driven decisions.
- Daily coordination with other elements of the working group along with across Directorates, utilizing models and methodologies, quickly resolve discrepancies with the customer.
- Update and analysis of forecast and trend reports.
- Monitor budget allocation, execution, obligations, Funding Requests and SLAs.
- Support the budgeting and resource monitoring for the entire office.
- Update budget tracking tool with transactions from the prior day, amount can vary and can increase near the end of the fiscal year.

BASIC QAULIFICATIONS
- Intermediate skill with MS Excel along with other Microsoft applications.
- Experience with the process of transferring funds between government agencies.
- Experience with the following is preferred, but not required:
- Acquisition and Financial Management System
- COGNOS/Query Studio
- Financial Forms System
- Special Authorities System
- Sponsor Contract Request System
- OGA funding transfers
