Position Summary

Caribou Thunder is seeking a Resource Analyst to join our office and provide resource analysis support. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing funding transfers, forecasting, tracking execution rates, and adjusting budget estimates. You will collaborate with a team of 5-6 co-workers and managers across multiple locations.

Complete Description

As a Resource Analyst Level II, you will be responsible for creating and managing funding transfers, forecasting, tracking execution rates, and adjusting budget estimates.

  • Your work will involve analyzing financial data, reconciling system transactions, and providing recommendations for budget planning.
  • Your responsibilities will include hosting quarterly forecast review meetings with the customer base, analyzing financial data, and reconciling system transactions to reflect directed shifts in resource allocations.
  • Your expertise in financial analysis will enable you to provide recommendations for budget planning, ensuring accuracy and identifying errors.
  • Additionally, you will prepare quarterly portfolio briefings tailored to specific external customers, maintaining real-time status and providing recommendations based on the analysis of a large portfolio.
  • Daily coordination with other elements of the working group and across Directorates will be necessary to quickly resolve discrepancies with customers. You will also update and analyze forecast and trend reports to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Monitoring budget allocation, execution, obligations, funding requests, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) will be part of your responsibilities.
  • You will support budgeting and resource monitoring for the entire office, ensuring accurate and timely updates in the budget tracking tool.
  • As the fiscal year-end approaches, the workload may increase, requiring flexibility and extended work hours.

Minimum Requirements

  • Intermediate skills with MS Excel, along with proficiency in other Microsoft applications.
  • Experience with the process of transferring funds between government agencies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to reconcile system transactions and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
