Frazier & Deeter is looking to add a Resource Deployment Manager to the Process, Risk and Governance team. The RDM would be collaborating with service line leaders to maximize resource sharing and enabling the delivery of the firm to our clients while leveraging understanding of the practice to positively influence deployment/staffing decisions with the goal of balancing workload, optimizing utilization, promoting flexibility, and providing broad-based experiences and developmental opportunities while balancing firm and client needs. The Resource Deployment Manager would also serve as a trusted advisor to partners/leaders focused on accelerating the development of our team members.
Primary Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)
- Acts to resolve scheduling conflicts to optimize utilization for the practice
- Facilitates the fulfillment of staffing requests to ensure the right resource is staffed at the right time based on skill set assessment utilizing alternative talent resources, including contractors
- Leverages ProStaff (resourcing scheduling tool) as the single source of deployment and forecasting information
- Leverages tools from Onboarding teams to support assimilation of new hires and interns to the team/practice, reviewing initial client assignments and chargeability, with a heightened focus on diverse staff
- Collaborates with partners/leaders to identify issues and to develop and execute action plans related to workforce planning to address short and long-term needs/skill gaps
- Formulates succession plan development and implementation with PRG leadership to determine support needed, if appropriate, in preparation for performance management roundtables in balance with deployment responsibilities
- Understands Human Capital metrics, sourcing, employee relations, strategies, goals, and critical achievement targets
- Analyzes data and develops specialized reports on resource needs, scheduling conflicts and over/under allocations to drive better business practices, increased utilization, and workload balancing for team members
- Proactively identifies forecasted bench time for team members and work with the management team to ensure that team members are identified for the right opportunities
- Develops, modifies, and documents Resource Management processes using collaboration tools
- Leads weekly reviews to plan team member assignments, review bookings, and work through conflicts and identify opportunities for team members
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- RMCP Certification Preferred
- Understanding of Project Management Principles
- Understanding of a professional services advisory and consulting environment
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, influence, and conflict management skills
- Advanced Excel Skills including Pivot Tables
- Experience deploying a PSA Tool
