Clearance: Ability to obtain the required government security clearance (CBP Final)

What You'll Be Doing: 

  • Facilitate employee hiring processes for Cargo Program
    • Partner with Program Leadership to identify new resource requirements. Draft job descriptions and complete job requisitions in the Greenhouse hiring system
    •  Coordinate and participate in interviews, and communicate candidate interview results
  • Onboard/Offboard Program resources and ensure resource adherence to company and contract requirements
    • Facilitate government security clearance processes
    • Execute team member onboarding (training, system accesses, asset assignments)
    • Approve Program timecards
    • Support the project leadership team and client with associated communications (hiring status of program resources, resource count, relevant policies, etc.)
    • Oversee fulfillment of annual mandatory training requirements
    • Manage out-processing and recovery of program assets such as laptops
    • Identify and implement improvements to resource management procedures and tools
  • Provide People Care Management for assigned resources
    • Provide resource career development – create and maintain annual goals, facilitate approval of training requests
    • Gather feedback from team leads and colleagues to conduct ad hoc and annual performance review discussions
    • Partner with Dev Technology Human Resources to address any performance issues in alignment with company policies and associated employment laws
    • Act as liaison to Dev Technology corporate. Field company-related questions, promote corporate events and communicate reminders of corporate deadlines

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (human resources management, project management, administration or similar) with 5+ years of applicable work experience
  • Successful history of providing people care management/career development, with ability to scale to 15+ resources
  • Prior experience working in an information technology project environment
  • Experience in managing budgets
  • Exposure to applicable labor laws
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, with particular emphasis on Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to professionally communicate with all levels of client, technical and back-office personnel verbally and in writing
  • Excellent relationship building capability – ability to apply logical thinking and diplomacy to resolve complex issues with a mutually beneficial result
  • Ability to see the big picture, balanced with a desire to apply organizational skills and attention to detail in order to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to obtain the required government security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to travel to Reston, VA headquarters and Ashburn, VA and Lorton, VA client sites as required

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Familiarity working within the government contracting environment
  • Experience operating within an Agile/SAFe framework
  • Familiarity with project management collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA
  • Project management certification(s), such as the Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) would be advantageous
