The Team: 

You will sit at the intersection of the risk, compliance, and trade operations teams performing due diligence for securities deposit and sale requests.  You will work directly for our Restricted Stock Specialist and have frequent interaction with the Chief Compliance Officer, General Counsel and other senior team members within the firm. This is a high impact role in a company that is building a new business model in the capital markets industry. 

The Role:

We are looking for a Restricted Stock Analyst who will report to our Restricted Stock Manager. You’ll assist in reviewing deposit requests, initiating and tracking deposits, communicating with customers and firm employees, escalating concerns to your manager and if necessary business/AML/Compliance, and acting as a backup for the Restricted Stock Manager in their potential absence. 

You will:

• Gather information to evaluate prospective clients who want to trade control/restricted securities with Clear Street.
• Analyze particular transactions for resale eligibility and work with the Restricted Stock Manager and AML Compliance Officer to administer and enhance Clear Street’s policies and procedures related to restricted and control securities.
• Be responsible for tracking all approvals, transfer/deposit requests and sales on the Firm’s central monitoring report.
• Initiate DWAC and DRS requests through DTC and work with the client and transfer agent to ensure a smooth process for legend removal and deposit.
• Assist with tracking cost basis and review tax reporting related to these transactions.
• Perform review of post-trade surveillance reports for low-priced securities transactions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1-3 years plus experience in the brokerage business, restricted stock experience a strong plus. 
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and analytical skills. 
• Attention to detail and diligent follow up.  
• Series 7 or willingness to sit for this exam.
