Retail Sales Associate

We are seeking a retail sales associate to join our team! If you have a passion for all things shiny and a knack for great customer service, this might be the perfect fit for you. We are Shiny Things for Shiny People, a local crystal shop off South Lamar. You will be responsible for selling products, merchandise, and running the cash register in a retail setting in order to drive company revenue. Requirements: • At least one year retail experience • Strong knowledge of rocks, minerals, and metaphysical properties • Charismatic, grounded, and detail-oriented personality • Available to work weekdays and weekends Responsibilities: • Provide exceptional, welcoming customer service and assist guests in finding products that meet their needs • Share knowledge about crystals, metaphysical tools, and related products in a friendly and approachable way • Explain products and services to customers • Accurately handle sales transactions using the POS system • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor, including restocking and merchandising displays • Uphold shop policies and contribute to a respectful, positive team Other: • We offer an employee discount • Employee takes all tips earned from their shift Job Type: Part-time Pay: $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 13.5 – 18 per week Benefits: • Employee discount Experience: • Retail sales: 1 year (Preferred) Ability to Commute: • Austin, TX 78704 (Required) Work Location: In person
