Retention Marketing Manager
Job Description
As a Retention Manager you will manage the retention channels for Cycling Frog's Direct to Consumer business. You will manage and execute the deployment of email marketing, content marketing, including updating and managing the blog, SMS marketing (future), and loyalty program management (future).
Responsibilities and Duties include:
- Build the strategy and execute on the operation of the DTC lifecycle marketing; inclusive of our email & SMS programs, content calendar, and loyalty program. Manage and monitor sales, traffic and performance across these channels. Goal: increased engagement, satisfaction, and retention of customers through responsible channels.
- Responsible for email list and segmentation maintenance, email content and deployment, and all email sends for both at-once and automated flows.
- In partnership with the Marketing team, plan the execution (including processes) of all retention-based campaigns. Own all copywriting and asset management, and ensure proper communication occurs with other departments.
- Manage all content marketing updates for the website, creating briefs for any content creation needs and working closely with the E-Commerce manager for all deployment of content to the website.
- Drive improvements to retention metrics through testing and funnel optimization.
- In partnership with the DTC team, manage the execution of feature enhancements such as a Loyalty Program, referrals, and SMS, through business documentation, RFPs, and execution.
- Grow email list size on a continuous basis, working with the marketing team to drive more email signups. Continuously monitor the health of email lists and remove unengaged users.
- Offer cross-channel promotion ideas to drive email signups and social followers.
- Analyze the behavior of customers and how they interact with email and content, look for opportunities to further build LTV through customer experiences, offers and engagement.
- Analyze E-Commerce analytics to report on retention performance, health of email program and retention channel breakdown.
- Develop KPIs and benchmarks with the Director of Digital Marketing. Manage weekly and monthly reports out monthly on progress, successes, potential improvements, and creative solutions.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Previous work experience as an email marketing manager or retention marketing manager in a similar role for 3+ years.
- Experience with Hubspot as a CRM/Email Management system
- Experience with Google Analytics or other similar analytics platforms
- Experience working with an E-Commerce platform (Shopify experience preferred).
- Understanding of retention trends and best practices.
- Track record of increasing retention channel metrics
- Exceptional analytical skills to identify opportunities and ability to communicate those opportunities in an actionable manner.
- An understanding of how to increase email list growth
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Critical thinker and creative problem solver.

This job is an in-person role, with the expectation of spending at least 4 days a week in the office.
Base Compensation Range: $60,000-$90,000 annually.
