About the Role

The Retention Marketing Manager role is responsible for laying the data and analytical foundation for a successful CRM program that results in positive guest experiences and improved guest retention.

A Day in the Life

  • Identify and conduct analytical deep dives that derive actionable insights, resulting in program innovations.
  • Establish, maintain, and optimize a segmentation strategy that considers guest mindset and motivations.
  • Connecting campaign requirements to the data that fuels them: collaborate with IT, web development team, and data engineering teams to define data needs within ESP and oversee their implementation.
  • Interface and collaborate with vendor and agency partners to implement program vision.
  • Stand up CDP to suit CRM team needs.
  • Collaborate with channel managers to implement segmentation strategy and analytical insights across touchpoints.
  • Define opportunities for, and build strategies to, drive growth across CRM programs and campaigns.

What Sets You Apart

  • Ability to consider the guest journey from a holistic view; can zoom out on marketing touchpoints to understand their place in the end-to-end experience of the guest.
  • Analytically minded, but is a marketer by trade.
  • Has a grasp of CRM data infrastructure and the sources that feed into it.
  • Detail-oriented in both process management and in requirement building.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors, platforms and agencies to maximize impact.
  • ESP expert (preferably Klaviyo), with experience creating strategy for email, SMS, direct mail, and mobile push channels.
  • Experience standing up or migrating and ESP is a plus.
  • Avid question-asker and problem-solver; approaches challenges and tasks with a 360-degree consideration and veracity to arrive at the best possible solution.
  • Adept user of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  • Uses resources effectively to generate solutions; takes initiative when resolving problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative problem solver that thrives in a rapidly growing and evolving organization.

Education and Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in CRM marketing
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field
