This role is a senior leadership position focused on designing and executing end-to-end customer retention strategies for high-growth digital apparel brands. You will be responsible for transforming first-time buyers into loyal, high-LTV customers through optimized lifecycle marketing, CRM excellence, and data-driven experimentation. The position plays a critical role in shaping multi-channel communication strategies across email, SMS, push notifications, and WhatsApp, ensuring seamless and personalized customer journeys. You will lead the retention roadmap for major direct-to-consumer brands, balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. This is a highly cross-functional role, requiring close collaboration with data, creative, engineering, and growth teams. Your work will directly influence revenue growth, customer loyalty, and long-term profitability across large-scale customer databases.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the end-to-end retention strategy for apparel brands, managing multi-channel communication across email, SMS, push notifications, and WhatsApp.
- Design and optimize lifecycle journeys across all stages, including onboarding, engagement, winback, and reactivation flows.
- Develop and implement quarterly retention roadmaps, OKRs, and initiatives aligned with business growth goals.
- Ensure consistent, non-overlapping, and high-performing multi-channel communication strategies that minimize fatigue and unsubscribes.
- Own retention KPIs such as repurchase rate, LTV, conversion rates, and channel performance, delivering actionable insights to leadership.
- Conduct ongoing competitor benchmarking and customer behavior analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with Data Science, Creative, IT, and Growth teams to execute testing and optimization initiatives.
- Oversee prioritization, execution, and delivery of retention campaigns, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.
- Drive a culture of experimentation, continuous improvement, and data-informed decision-making.
- 7+ years of experience in retention marketing, lifecycle marketing, CRM, or related growth roles in digital-first environments.
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing cross-functional teams including marketing, analytics, creative, and technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Analytics, or related fields.
- Strong expertise in customer lifecycle strategies, CRM platforms, and retention marketing tools.
- Proven ability to analyze customer data, identify behavioral trends, and translate insights into growth strategies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align diverse teams around shared goals.
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
- Advanced English proficiency (required); Spanish and analytical/technical skills (SQL, data science tools) are a plus.
- Highly strategic yet hands-on mindset, with strong attention to detail and execution excellence.
- Curiosity and adaptability, with interest in leveraging AI and new technologies for marketing innovation.
