The National Systems Group serves as the technical adviser to the Intelligence Community and its mission partners involved in the collection and distribution of national and tactical intelligence, including electronics programs, advanced technologies, ground and communications, imagery programs, and systems engineering and launch.
The GEOINT Development Office (GDO) develops systems and technology solutions for our customer's flagship national security space mission. As our Integrated Optical Circuits Engineer, you will be solving complex manufacturing problems essential to improving the yield of a key system component.
What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the government customer and industry contractors dependent on obtaining a reliable supply of high quality integrated optical circuits and other complex components
• Observe, review, and investigate existing component production lines at key suppliers
• Provide recommendations to the customer and industry on manufacturing improvements; document recommendations appropriately in reports
• If necessary, perform training or demonstrations to aid customers and industry in understanding and implementing improvements
• Travel to manufacturing sites will likely be necessary; other meetings and presentations with customers and industry may occur remotely via telecon

What You Need to Successful

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Math or related technical discipline.
• A minimum of 12 years experience.
• Have an in-depth understanding of and experience with manufacturing and packaging lithium niobate integrated optical circuits
• Have previous FFRDC experience advising customers and industry on proprietary processes and working to help industry improve the yield of critical components
• Understand Aerospace's laboratory capabilities and how to work across the Engineering Technology Group and Program Offices to use corporate capabilities to solve technical problems
