Job Description
Guideline is seeking a Retirement Specialist to support our Legal and Compliance department in improving the experience of our active plans.
What You Will Work On
Consulting and advising team members on plan design, ERISA compliance and any related client questions
Reviewing content for external-facing product features and internal-facing training materials to ensure accuracy under ERISA rules and regulations
Coordinating with other teams on cross-functional projects, plan corrections and audits; 4) owning core cross-functional projects
Leading and participating in internal training opportunities for the team.
Educate Customer Operations Team on 401(k) recordkeeping, administration and correction processes.
Support Onboarding in handling the implementation of new and conversion 401(k) plans.
Review new product features and client-facing forms for compliance with ERISA.
Review internal training materials and procedures for compliance with ERISA.
Create internal-facing trainings and reference materials to address common questions.
What We’re Looking For
7+ years experience in 401(k) plans (experience with a variety of DC plans including 403(b), 457, etc. a plus)
5+ years experience in retirement administration space or ERISA space
Exhibit strong knowledge of defined contribution plan administration and compliance requirements to support internal organization goals.
Deep understanding of ERISA and tax laws, as well as understanding of the importance of low fee, index mutual fund investing.
Documentation and organization is important to you, all while keeping our clients top of mind.
Demonstrated success in consultative or client-facing role(s)
Expert proficiency with data and analytics
Experience testing 401(k) plans for annual compliance (ADP/ACP, profit sharing, etc.)
Experience in plan document reviews/preparation
Direct managerial experience is beneficial, but not required
Professional designations such QKA, C(k)P, QPA, CRPS
JD or equivalent graduate degree

Offer Package
The expected Salary Range for this position is $117,500 - $149,000 annually. Compensation is determined by numerous factors such as your qualifications, experience, and work location.
