The Retrieval Operations Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing the efficiency of support functions within the medical record retrieval business to align with deliverables for client projects.

This role involves creating and implementing standardized processes, supporting record retrieval functions, and utilizing problem-solving skills to address bottlenecks in the delivery process. The role also collaborates cross-functionally to ensure project execution across divisions is effective and efficient to meet each unique client project requirement. The individual in this role leverages analytical and problem-solving acumen and operational expertise to promote operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Create and implement efficient operations processes to support medical record retrieval functions and ensure processes are consistent across delivery sites
• Identify and troubleshoot bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the retrieval process
• Develop and lead a team of retrieval staff, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to troubleshoot bottlenecks in the retrieval process
• Develop an execution plan for retrieval projects requirements that do not follow standard practice. Ensure the plan is communicated to all applicable stakeholders
• Develop accurate reporting to drive excellence in retrieval execution while enabling visibility into project operations and outcome metrics
• Ensure all necessary operations support functions for project task completion are assigned and successfully executed
• Build and maintain solid cross-functional relationships and provide effective leadership on collaborative projects
• Develops and maintains solid relationships with all internal and external stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in a data-driven operational work environment with continuous monitoring of program metrics
• 2+ years of experience delivering reports to senior management in a presentation setting
• Experience implementing operational process to support delivering services to clients
• Relevant experience building a team to fully own operations process
• Proficient in MS Office with solid Excel skills (pivot tables, v-look ups)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in medical record retrieval industry
• Experience managing a remote team
• Experience with Salesforce CRM

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
