Job Description
Tebra is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Revenue Accountant with a positive attitude, analytical mind and excellent interpersonal skills to support our ever-evolving business. The Revenue Accountant will be an integral member of the Finance team, leading Tebra’s revenue accounting operations (order to cash) in a fast-paced, team-focused environment that provides many challenging opportunities in the development of one’s professional, technical, and analytical skills. Experience with multiple performance obligation arrangements, complex revenue transactions and a drive to enhance processes are essential for success in the role.
Your Area of Focus- Support operationalization of ASC 606, “Revenue from Contracts with Customers” and upstream processing using NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management (ARM)
- Partner across the business to analyze and launch new products and programs, ensuring proper revenue recognition and system implementation
- Review sales arrangements to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition accounting standards
- Own sales commission accounting (e.g. contract acquisition costs) in accordance with ASC 606/340
- Assist in month-end close activities: prepare & record journal entries in compliance with GAAP; own and maintain AR sub-ledger, maximizing assurance over accuracy, completeness and classification; and preparing requisite account reconciliations
- Work with FP&A team on budgeting and forecasting models and prepare monthly analytics and fluctuation analysis
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and procedures in an accurate and timely manner
- Coordinate cross functionally with all levels of employees, management, and external parties as part of the period-end close process and to support the business
- Participate in the financial audit and preparation of required audit support schedules
- Identify opportunities and propose solutions that can lead to more efficient and effective procedures
- Assist with other areas of accounting and complete special projects as needed
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A.)
- 3+ years in corporate accounting working in high-growth private or publicly traded enterprise environments generating annual revenues exceeding $50MÂ
- Working knowledge of ASC 606 in SaaS industry
- Experience preparing & reviewing month-end close procedures and deliverables
- Independent self-starter who is detail oriented and able to identify potential solutions to problems, and work collaboratively with peers and managers to accomplish objectives
- Confident, self-motivated, and diligent with strong organizational skills to be able to prioritize and execute many assignments in a quick and efficient manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication (fluent English); including the ability to effectively document procedures performed and analysis of results
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required; NetSuite, SalesForce CPQ, Adaptive experience preferred
- CPA-candidate preferred
