Revenue Accountant

As a valued member of the accounting team, the Revenue Accountant will support the Revenue Supervisor in accounting for operated and non-operated oil and gas properties, and assisting in closing revenue on a monthly basis. 
Responsibilities:

• Record revenue for non-operated oil and gas wells.
• Record revenue for company operated wells.
• Monitor payout and gas balancing positions for non-operated properties.
• Handle all owner relations inquiries and phone calls.
• Support Land Department with preparation of ad-hoc reports and analysis of data.
• Submit monthly reports to the Office of Natural Resources.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on monthly basis.
• Work with land to monitor and analyze revenue in suspense.
• Assist other areas of accounting with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
• One (1) or more years of oil and gas experience
• Must be able to work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to adapt to change, work in a team environment, and attend to competing priorities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical thinking
• Ability to use and leverage various accounting systems to efficiently complete assigned tasks
