We are looking for a Revenue Accounting Associate for a full-time role with SpringML.
Location: This role is open to candidates in the United States who do not need sponsorship of a work visa. This role is primarily remote with the potential of very infrequent travel, if needed.
Responsibilities:
- Revenue recognition and accounting for revenue contractsÂ
- Responsible for handling tasks that involve invoicing and billing management including, credit, collections, cash receipts, electronic transfers, etc.
- Maintain all pertinent documentation needed to properly invoice the customer including P.O.’s, ship to and bill to information, etc.
- Develop and generate monthly reporting metrics and routine revenue reporting by Industry, type, Eco-system, metrics and value-added analyses to support the management for regular business analysis.
- Establish internal controls on the Revenue Management process.
- Revenue forecasting for current and future periods
- Responsible to support the day-to-day financial operations at SpringML
- Participate in a wide variety of special projects within the finance and operations team as required
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting and/or finance experience (ideal candidate will have 3-7 years; this is not senior-level)
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in revenue accounting
- Working knowledge of US GAAP principles and/or knowledge of Revenue Accounting including ASC 606
- Well-versed in using Google Sheets (Workspace) or Excel for billing and/or revenue records and/or reports
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA is a plus, but not required
- Additional skills with Enterprise Reporting Applications (FinancialForce or other ERP's such as Oracle, SAP, JDE) a plus
- Software industry experience is a plus
- Detail-oriented, self-directed, and flexible to prioritize workload to achieve on time results
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
