To achieve our ambitious goals, we're looking for a Revenue Accounting Manager to join our Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting team. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting and analytical skills and can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This role will work cross-functionally with teams throughout the organization, within a detail-oriented environment where creative problem-solving is highly valued.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who has excellent core knowledge of operational revenue accounting and US GAAP rules and is eager to contribute their expertise to a quickly growing company. The ideal candidate will have a full vision of the revenue-accounting process and will work closely with the team to streamline processes that impact our operations and financial statements.
Your impact
As Revenue Accounting Manager, you will work in a fast-paced environment and help lead and establish our dedicated Revenue Accounting team. You will collaborate cross-functionally, improving our current processes and establishing new ones, while enhancing our revenue accounting and reporting.
In this role, you will:
- Establish and manage our revenue operations function-including NetSuite, reporting invoicing, and collections.
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes for revenue-related areas (revenue, accounts receivables, deferred revenue, deferred commission, and taxes in NetSuite).
- Perform and review accounting assessments and documentation for new revenue contracts to ensure they comply with ASC 606.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business-partner organizations, such as sales, sales operations, legal, product, financial reporting, and technical accounting, to streamline processes and improve efficiencies.
- Manage ad hoc projects and support new business initiatives and product lines.
- Manage revenue-related areas for audit.
- Be an expert in your areas of responsibility and take end-to-end ownership of all aspects of your projects.
We're looking for someone who

- Is able to collaborate in person in San Francisco 4 weeks per quarter.
- Has 6+ years of experience working at a Big 4 firm or in a revenue-accounting role at a software or SaaS company.
- Has a bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Is a CPA or equivalent.
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Has strong technical revenue-accounting knowledge of US GAAP, specifically ASC 606, at a high-growth technology company.
- Has knowledge of NetSuite, Salesforce.com, and-as a plus-Klarity.
- Displays a high level of genuine curiosity about our business, asks lots of questions, and exhibits an eagerness to learn.
- Has a high aptitude and enthusiasm for complex problem-solving in revenue-accounting topics as well as strong skills with spreadsheets.
