Position Specific Description

Come join our team! We are seeking an experienced Revenue Accounting Manager for one of the fastest growing Oil & Gas companies. The ideal candidate will have 8 plus years of onshore experience, including at least 2 years of Managerial experience, combined with a degree in Accounting/Finance and excellent Excel skills to support the Accounting team. Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the revenue distribution and royalty payable for company operated and outside operated domestic oil and gas leases.
  • Provide oversite to the monthly accounting close, including review and approval of journal entries, account analysis and reconciliations.
  • Provide oversite to cash application process and accounts receivable balances resulting from revenue bookings, inclusive of netting arrangements with JIB.
  • Lead and direct trend analyses and explanation of large swings in the revenue bookings.
  • Lead and direct Well by Well Estimate to Actual variance analysis.
  • Manage the marketing and production accounting teams.
  • Coordinate with the land department in order to ensure that the division order maintenance is correct to ensure proper revenue and royalties are recorded and disbursed each month.
  • Lead and direct owner relations department with answering questions from 3rd parties.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment and reporting of federal, state and tribal taxes and royalties
  • Coordinate escheatment process with the Land Department
  • Act as SME with respect to Revenue Accounting related projects and/or system implementations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Skills

  • 8+ years of Oil & Gas Revenue experience with domestic on-shore operators.
  • Excellent technical accounting skills
  • Knowledge of Oil & Gas Systems specifically Excalibur or Bolo, SAP PRA and SAP Financial
  • Experience with System Implementations
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, manage multiple tasks and meet short deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and interact effectively with others in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) with internal & external customers
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Fluctuations in workloads will require some overtime
  • Problem solving and analytical thinking as necessary to accomplish accounting objectives

• Prepares financial reports that are in compliance with GAAP and FERC, in a timely manner, to accurately reflect the financial position of the Company• Provides accounting oversight to businesses and departments within the Company and ensures proper controls are in place for accurate financial reporting• Ensures financial data integrity through the implementation and maintenance of a strong control environment• Keeps abreast of, and applies GAAP, SEC regulations, and relevant company policies, practices, and procedures• Manages professional staff, and effectively communicates and executes performance management• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
