CRA’s Financial Administration group comprises more than 35 professionals based in our Boston, Chicago, and London offices. The team includes Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Financial Reporting, Payroll, Revenue, Project Setup, Tax, and Treasury.
Job Overview
We seek a Revenue Analyst in our Boston office. The Revenue Analyst will be responsible for recording global revenues and reserves for professional services projects accounted for on a Time and Materials (T&M) basis and will be a key Oracle project accounting system resource. They will be responsible for the revenue allocation process, assisting with time sheet changes, processing reserve entries, updating the project system for bill rate changes, and performing monthly revenue related controls. The revenue analyst will prepare project checklists and ensure that revenue recognition is consistent with client contracts under ASC 606 guidance.
- Responsible for global revenue allocations, including re-allocations and bill rate changes;
- Prepare project set up checklists including review of all contract related documents;
- Review project setup within Oracle to ensure accurate recognition of revenue under ASC 606;
- Monitor revenue calculations against current expectations for contracts and agreements. This includes project level budget review, bill rate review, and monitoring timecard issues;
- Evaluate credit worthiness of clients in accordance with credit policy;
- Perform day to day functions and processing of revenue transactions;
- Prepare monthly revenue SOX controls;
- Provide direct support to the T&M Revenue Accounting Manager, as required;
- Time sheet assistance for all employees;
- Prepare ad hoc reports as requested.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance from a four-year college or university;
- Minimum of 1-3 years work experience, preferrably in public accounting or equivalent;
- Experience with Oracle EBS, including the Projects Module and/or similar sophisticated ERP finance system. Experience with Intapp desirable;
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with, and analyze and interpret, large volumes of transactional data;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills;
- Ability to communicate well with all levels of management, and external auditors;
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and multi-task in an evolving workplace;
- Strong attention to details;
- Excellent follow through skills in resolving issues;
- Self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
