Revenue Analyst
Job Description
The Revenue Analyst role's primary responsibility is the preparing and reporting of revenue trends and activity. This includes booking and revenue performance at the sailing, category, and region levels to identify trends and areas of opportunity for revenue optimization. This role requires a data-driven approach allowing the company to maximize yield and occupancy. The reports that this individual creates and maintains will be integral to decision-making across the business, particularly with regards to sales, marketing, deployment, and pricing.
STRATEGIC
- Revenue analysis - conduct analysis of booking trends at the category, sailing and regional level while connecting those trends to the different channels and markets.
- Competitive Benchmarking - create and maintain files comparing pricing of similar brands detailing inclusions under their fare. Keep track and communicate promotions in the market and other product development or innovations in the industry.
- Serve as liaison between Sales, Marketing, Finance, and the Call Center with Revenue Management to share report information that can help drive revenue.
- Forecast - work with the VP, Revenue Management to track revenue potential and outcomes based on what is already booked and what promotional plans may impact future reservations; provide Finance guidance on Revenue Forecasts and support modeling of scenarios.
REPORTING AND FORECASTING
- Revenue Reporting - develop and run daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of the trade and direct channels booking performance. Identify successes, risks, and opportunities.
- Distribution of Reporting - share file with the revenue management team and pertinent information to the Sales and Marketing teams once reviewed by the Vice President of Revenue Management. Work closely with IT to make reporting automated, readily available, and easily actionable by the stakeholders across the organization.
- Forecasting - Provide support to the VP, Revenue Management in the budgeting and forecasting processes (revenues, commission, travel agent growth targets etc.). Track Annual and Quarterly Sales revenue, passenger goals and any other KPIs for external Trade Partners, facilitate distribution and communication to the Partners and their Crystal Sales representatives.
- Others - Prepare reports and dashboards for the Revenue Management team.
- Ad hoc analysis - work with the other areas of the business to support planning and decision-making, following priorities set by the VP, Revenue Management.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a business field of study
Experience: 3+ years of experience in a commercial role (e.g., revenue management, business analytics)
Skills/Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills
- Self-starter, able to work with little supervision.
- Flexible approach to responsibilities with ability to pivot and adapt quickly.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced skills), Word and PowerPoint (SQL knowledge preferred)
- Able to present data and findings concisely and simply to a broad audience.
- Able to simultaneously balance short- and long-term priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communications
- Strong interpersonal skills at all levels of the business, a team player
- Approachable and helpful
Work Environment
Works in a typical office environment with quiet-to-moderate noise generated by computer printer, fax machine and light traffic.
Physical Demands
Requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching. May require lifting or pushing up to 25 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, the telephone, and other office equipment.
Expected Hours of Work
The position is full-time and frequently requires working additional time outside of normal business hours.
