Job Description

Your role in helping us shape the future:
As Revenue Assurance Analyst for Intelsat, you will be responsible for managing the creation of all the revenue/invoicing records within Oracle Subscription Management (OSS) for your assigned sales region and ensuring the accuracy along with coordinating the data exchange from other groups/departments as required, including receiving the monthly revenue share or usage-based billings data, and assisting your existing team members with increased workloads or during their absences.

  • Be responsible for managing the creation of all the revenue/invoicing records within OSC for your assigned sales region and ensuring the accuracy along with coordinating the data exchange from other groups/departments as required, including receiving the monthly revenue share or usage-based billings data; and assisting your existing team members with increased workloads or during their absences
  • Gain and maintain an up-to-date understanding of the Oracle Financials modules and the quote to cash workflow processes to help assist in system upgrades and initiatives as necessary for the Revenue Assurance team
  • Understand the existing Business Objects and/or Tableau reports and along with the respective defined data warehouse/universe elements
  • Assist in identifying the areas for system/process improvements and create efficiencies while maintaining audit/SOX compliance
  • Participate in projects with IT and other organizations on revenue recognition matters
  • Identify contracts requiring special Revenue Accounting Treatment especially as it relates to ASC 606 Revenue Recognition Standards
  • Reconcile your customer accounts to assist Sales, Revenue Accounting, C&C, and others, as it relates to the trade AR, revenue, and backlog balances

You should definitely have:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • At least one (1) to five (5) years of experience in revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and revenue analysis
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and MS Excel
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills that support consistently meeting monthly and quarterly deadlines related to contract bookings, reporting, and other close activities.
  • Effective communicator, both written and spoken with strongly developed interpersonal skills
  • Ability and desire to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism and maturity in dealing with and seeking creative solutions to problems

It would be nice if you had:
  • Advanced Excel and report writing skills in Business Objects or Tableau
