Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify and research opportunities where revenue leakage could be present to ensure no contract billings are missed and revenue is recognized appropriately through both independently and coordinated efforts with other teams
  • Identify, categorize, and correct unusual recurring revenue variances. Work with cross-functional teams in resolving revenue recognition issues as they arise
  • Participate in the Order-to-Cash process across the organization, as well as reacting to and developing solutions for close-related issues
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in accounting for revenue, deferred revenue, and other accounting areas
  • Coordinate with Revenue Accounting, Internal Audit, and other stakeholders to ensure billing and revenue recognition policies and procedures are being executed as prescribed
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders that summarize monthly findings with emphasis on trends and create action plans for improvement
  • Identify and implement operational process and internal control improvements that support a culture of continuous improvement
  • Support business process changes that may affect the Company's ability to record, monitor, or collect revenue
  • Assist in the integration of acquired companies onto the Company's accounting policies and systems
  • Collaborate with Revenue Accounting, Contracts and Billing, and IT teams on special projects as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with focus in Business, Finance, or Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 years' experience in either billing or accounting for Software as a Service (SaaS) or Subscription based organization
  • Alteryx, Workday, and Salesforce experience preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access skills required
  • Well organized, detail-oriented team player with proven ability to multitask effectively and work independently
  • Experience in data analysis and/or auditing
  • Understanding of finance and accounting principles
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time with minimal instruction while adhering to prescribed deadlines and milestones
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, including the ability to critically think and present new or creative solutions

The starting base pay is $48,600.00 to $62,100.00. Blackbaud may pay more or less based on employee qualifications, market value, Company finances, and other operational considerations.
