Tempus is seeking a highly qualified Revenue Cycle Manager to join our growing team. This role will manage our day-to-day revenue cycle operations and broadly support reimbursement strategy for Tempus clinical laboratory test offerings across multiple disease areas.

What Youโ€™ll Do:

  • Oversee Tempus revenue cycle operations and manage our third party billing vendor
  • Lead people and projects to drive revenue cycle optimization and operational efficiencies
  • Help improve team productivity through the development of tools (e.g, dashboards) and process improvement projects
  • Present revenue cycle KPIs to Leadership team on a monthly basis
  • Evaluate staffing needs and take lead on hiring, team building, and team development activities as needed
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Legal, Market Access, Sales, Customer Success, and Third Party Billing Vendor to ensure execution of reimbursement strategies
  • Identify opportunities and implement reimbursement strategies based on regulatory/payor policy changes
  • Responsible for payor contract implementation and performance management
  • Lead ad hoc requests and special projects as needed

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Proven manager of others who guides individuals and teams toward desired results and sets high performance standards
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks across projects, Third Party Billing Vendor, and internal Tempus teams
  • Ability to oversee the development, deployment and direction of complex programs and projects
  • Experience working with disorganized data from various sources and translating raw data into practical insights and recommendations
  • Creative mindset in order to problem solve, comfort with ambiguity and confidence to ask key questions
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships across departments (Market Access, Finance, Legal, Product, Medical Affairs, Lab Ops, etc.)
  • Skillful at working both independently and in team settings and comfortable with a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Healthcare Information or related field preferred
  • 7+ years post-grad experience in healthcare revenue cycle and/or healthcare consulting required
  • Experience leading people and projects is required
  • Excel and Powerpoint savvy; Dashboard experience (e.g, Looker, Tableau) is a plus
  • Ability to tackle large, ambiguous problemsย 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
