About The Role:
As a Revenue Cycle Operations Manager, you will support a team of Revenue Cycle team members while being a thought partner for the Revenue Operations leadership team that is able to execute strategic project plans in a high-growth, mental health startup. You will review opportunities for improvement in Revenue Cycle processes and help drive prioritization. You will play a key role in shaping the department as we scale.  Â
This position reports to the VP of Revenue Operations and is fully remote currently. The position can remain fully-remote permanently (with a willingness to travel infrequently to the San Francisco office, either quarterly or semi-annually depending on business needs.
What you’ll do as a Revenue Cycle Operations Manager
- Build and support a team of Revenue Cycle professionals committed to a culture of continuous improvement
- Own completion of Revenue Cycle projects and maintenance of ongoing initiatives, partnering with various Octave stakeholders (e.g. Marketing, Finance, Client Experience, etc.)
- Analyze data to assist and prioritize both projects and daily throughput of the internal Revenue Cycle team and Revenue Cycle external vendor(s)
- Lead various meetings, including weekly Revenue Cycle team meeting
- Drive toward organizational goals as well as providing guidance for team and individual team member goals
- Act as a resource to Revenue Cycle team to troubleshoot complex issues (e.g. complex client insurance coverage scenarios) providing guidance and next steps
- Oversee Customer Service performance metrics to ensure the team is meeting client support SLAs.Â
- Create and manage the Revenue Cycle playbook for the department
- Keep abreast of and relay payor policies relative to Octaves work
- Provide key metric analysis to the leadership team on a monthly/quarterly basis
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of Healthcare Revenue Cycle experience; ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in all functions of the Revenue Cycle
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience devising, outlining, communicating, and implementing complex project plans and seeing them through to timely completion - with proven results
- Ability to analyze and display data in a way that illuminates business insights
- Experience billing and collecting insurance receivables; familiarity with collections processes for both in-network and out-of-network insurance payers
- Experience with patient collections and escalations
- Strong roots in customer service, both internal and external
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and engage stakeholders effectively to progress initiatives forward
- Holds self and others accountable to meet deadlines and deliverables
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build cross-functional relationships and teams
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
