The Role:
We are seeking a Revenue Cycle Manager who acts as a trusted partner to both the Finance and Clinical Operations teams, reporting to the CFO. The successful candidate for this role will own the direction and leadership of our revenue cycle function and is able to build as well as execute the day to day. Our goal is to build a world-class revenue cycle team that provides efficient operations and a top patient experience. We’re looking for someone with a broad set of knowledge across medical claims, payer enrollment, patient collections, and improving billing processes and technology.

Our care is delivered virtually through our app, secure messaging and telehealth visits. When in-person diagnostics or procedures are needed, we take a concierge approach and coordinate access, care and follow up with local providers.
What You’ll Do:
- Own the revenue cycle strategy and processes from beginning to end and build out the team and processes needed as we scale
- Lead day-to-day revenue cycle operations managing Oshi’s medical claims, billing, payment posting, accounts receivable, and claim denials
- Develop and execute on strategic plans for systems and processes that support a high performing, patient-centered revenue cycle operation
- Drive operational excellence and accountability through a metrics driven culture by developing performance metrics and reporting and providing regular updates to peers and leadership
- Interpret claim notes and processing logic to be able to determine issues and trends
- Analyze current billing processes, identify gaps and work towards advancements
- Understand and manage accounts receivables across our different partner contracts
- Collaborate with the Clinical Operations team to handle patient and clinical billing questions
- Ensure accurate setup of new payer accounts in our medical billing system, understanding contract terms, reimbursement rates, and appropriate medical procedure codes
- Develop and optimize revenue cycle processes to maximize collections
- Track and monitor KPIs and revenue cycle benchmarks
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to recommend system improvements and automate operations

What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience ideally in healthcare administration or other relevant fields. Courses and majors or minors in subjects such as economics, finance, accounting and healthcare may be an asset.
- 7+ years of experience in revenue cycle and management in a healthcare setting
- A deep understanding of medical claims and billing, ideally in a digital health setting with experience working with multiple payers
- Experience building new processes and procedures for Revenue Cycle Management at a high growth company
- Proficiency in billing systems, electronic health records, data visualization software or similar software tools
- Experience involving analytical rigor as typically seen in, but not restricted to, functions like healthcare operations or administration, revenue cycle management, etc.
- Problem solving and analysis experience solving business problems (financial, operational, organizational)
- Adaptability and initiative to succeed in a fast-growing virtual work environment
- Prior experience using AthenaHealth RCM tools is a plus
