Revenue Cycle Specialist

Your opportunity  

We are currently looking for a Revenue Cycle Specialist (Remote) that will perform, support, and maintain all aspects of the full revenue cycle in the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM). The right candidate will have full revenue cycle experience and knowledge of government payers Medicare and Medicaid.  The qualified candidate will work with a full team of RCM specialists that are located both onshore and offshore, reporting to the Senior Revenue Cycle Manager.   

What You Will Do 

• Manage patient accounts for assigned practices
• Auditing chart notes  
• Perform HCC coding 
• Claim creation  
• Electronic claims submission 
• ERA / EOB review  
• Payment posting  
• Reviewing and maintaining aging accounts  
• Create and submit appeals and claim corrections  
• Answer patient phone calls regarding statements 
• Participate in educational trainings 
• Create and improve upon process where it is needed 
• Support your fellow team members to achieve department goals and projects 
• Participate in weekly huddles and manager 1-on-1’s 

What will make you successful here  

• High School Diploma / GED or some college courses 

• Minimum of 6 years in healthcare revenue billing and coding fee-for-service. 
• CPC or CPB is preferred; if applicant successfully obtains the role as a revenue cycle specialist and does not have AAPC certification, they will be required to obtain certification within 12 months of employment. 
• Ability to work independently and problem solve. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• Entrepreneurial spirit, a sense of ownership and comfortable operating in ambiguity. 
• Solution oriented with the ability to think strategically and creatively in decision-making. 
• Strong work ethic to exceed expectations and goals. 
• Coachable and able to take direction and feedback well, yet being forward-thinking to challenge the status quo 
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. 
• Proficient with eClinicalworks and Trizetto strongly preferred. 
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
