Work Location:
- If in-person : Velocity Urgent Care's Admin. Office in Williamsburg, VA.
- If Remote opportunities available in the following states : Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington (state), West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming
Education Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- At least three to five years of prior experience in a health care setting working directly within the revenue cycle process.
Qualifications
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal and listening skills
- Able to schedule priorities independently according to business needs with limited supervision.
- Must be accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.
- Proficiency with standard office equipment and software such as such as Microsoft Office, knowledge of Healthcare Information Systems.
Job Summary
Responsible for initial and ongoing training and evaluation of competencies for all facets of the revenue cycle for
Patient Access and Patient Financial Services. Serves as a system(s) expert for the revenue cycle, responsible for system functionality to minimize dysfunction within daily operations.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in all facets of hospital revenue cycle processes and systems in Patient Access and Patient Financial Services. Cerner, Affinity and Compass knowledge a MUST.
Communicate effectively and efficiently both in written and spoken word.
Applies mature approach to complex problem solving to develop, evaluate and implement solutions.
Applies critical thinking, using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
Proficient in application software and displays a high level of competence and technical understanding.
Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCP) or Certified Healthcare Access Management (CHAM) or Certified Revenue Cycle Executive-Institutional (CRCE-I) preferred.
Qualifications:
BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree
