Flight Itinerary (About The Role)

This Revenue Director will lead our global revenue accounting and billing functions partnering closely with FP&A, Legal, Sales, Customer Success, and other teams across the company, and influence and drive results for a wide array of business initiatives. Reporting to the Controller, the Revenue Director will serve as the finance organization’s subject matter expert on revenue accounting and engage with the business to provide revenue recognition-compliant solutions, including contract reviews, non-standard sales deals, and new product introductions.

What Your Journey Will Look Like (Responsibilities)
  • Lead, influence, and drive results in ongoing order-to-cash and revenue business initiatives, including process improvements, business transformation initiatives, and system implementations to optimize global revenue operations
  • Lead order-to-cash integration efforts and geographic expansion projects
  • Collaborate with legal, FP&A, Sales, Product, and Customer Success functions in efforts relative to contract negotiations, new product offerings, and non-standard contracts to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with US GAAP and internal policies
  • Manage the global revenue accounting close and reporting process, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, statutory requirements, and company policy and procedures
  • Manage credit and collections team and develop and enhance processes and controls around credit and collection-related financial metrics
  • Oversee internal control design, execution, monitoring, and compliance within quote to cash and revenue cycles
  • Work closely with the Company's external auditors on revenue recognition

What To Pack For This Trip (Qualifications)
  • BS in Finance or Accounting
  • 8+ years of combined experience in both public accounting and leading a revenue accounting function in a publicly traded company or late-stage pre-IPO
  • CPA required
  • “Big 4” experience required
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant revenue accounting guidance under ASC 606 relating to SaaS and Services revenue recognition
  • Experience with NetSuite required
  • Ability to analyze problems, develop/recommend solutions, and resolve complex revenue accounting issues
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects while meeting goals and deadlines
  • Proven business acumen; experience providing business support to commercial teams
  • Strong interpersonal skills: the ability to build relationships, a good listener with outstanding interpersonal influencing qualities, and a natural, effective consultative style

  • Experience working with NetSuite Advanced Revenue Module strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a high-growth company preferred
  • IPO experience preferred

Compensation: The salary range for this role is commensurate with experience and is as follows:
$194,000$226,000 USD
