JOB OVERVIEW:
The Revenue Growth Management Manager will support the identification of sales and profitability opportunities through analysis, reporting, setting of best practices, and organizational education. By taking a data driven approach to the evaluation of pricing, promotion, trade investment, price pack architecture (PPA), and mix management, the manager will support commercial functions like sales, marketing, and finance in their decision-making. While creating a pipeline of RGM opportunities will be key to success, so will the ability to teach the organization the essentials of an RGM mindset.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Leverage consumption (e.g. Circana, NielsenIQ), internal sales data (e.g. TPM), as well as other third-party research to assess current pricing, trade promotion, and PPA execution.
- Develop necessary reporting to support opportunity/pipeline analysis as well as improve organizational decision making.
- Perform both national and retailer pricing analysis leveraging price/promo modeling as well as ad hoc solutions.
- Assess national and retailer promotion effectiveness and efficiency through post-event analysis.
- Ensure consumer value is being delivered across pack sizes by evaluating pricing relative to other packs, competitors, and retailers.
- Improve trade investment ROI with consistent assessment of retailer performance and support of Blue Diamond Growers commercial initiative
- Create educational materials designed to increase RGM acumen across the commercial organization.
- Perform other relevant job duties as required.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years’ experience in a commercial analytics function (e.g. RGM, CatMan, Sales Planning & Analysis, FP&A, Insights & Analytics, or the like).
- Bachelor's degree in a commercial analytics field such as finance, economics, business, or similar disciplines
- Strong proficiency with MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Tableau, PowerBI, SQL, Alteryx a bonus.
- Advanced knowledge of consumption data (e.g. NielsenIQ, Circana) and TPM data (e.g. trade, profitability, net sales, etc.).
- Experience with financial analysis / ability to understand a basic P&L.
- Experience with price/promo modeling and understanding of related concepts such as price elasticity, regression modeling, and willingness to pay analysis.
- Ability to convey complex topics in simple terms ("analytical translator") both in live or electronically delivered formats.
- Some travel required.
- The ideal candidate will also demonstrate high learning agility, is comfortable working cross-functionally, and is comfortable working in less defined ("grey") situations as the RGM capability is built and enhanced within BDG.
