What You'll Do

  • Build and sustain team to effectively manage change, people, systems, and processes specific to the revenue recognition, balance sheet reconciliations and billing activities.
  • Oversees processes to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of revenue activities by effectively leveraging automation and technology.
  • Establishes and ensures appropriate internal controls are in place and being followed to prevent or detect financial misstatements, fraud, and/or waste, and develops and implements remediation activities to address gaps and audit findings.
  • Evaluates revenue activities to ensure the timeliness and accuracy of accounting-related financial reports.
  • Establishes processes for ensuring the quality and accuracy of financial information in reports distributed to internal and external stakeholders, auditors, and all levels of management.
  • Reconciles general ledger accounts and ensures reconciling differences are thoroughly explained and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Stays informed on US GAAP policies and procedures, best practices, and technology and implements appropriate training/procedures to ensure staff compliance and accurate application.
  • Recommends and implements modifications to improve financial processes and systems and automates manual processes using technology to enhance reporting and oversight responsibilities.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for issues relating to revenue activities and responds timely and accurately to requests for information from customers, internal departments, senior leadership, auditors, and other stakeholders.
  • Prepares monthly balance sheet and P&L documentation for submission to leadership.
  • Supervises staff, including but not limited to coaching; holding career path discussions; recommending applicant selection; imposing disciplinary actions; and task related issues; directing, reviewing, and approving assignments; approving leave requests and time sheets; and ensuring appropriate training is provided.


Requirements

  • CPA Certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • A successful track record of improving processes and procedures.
  • Familiarity with Intacct, Workday, Concur, Adaptive, and Avalara is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with accounting concepts related to the SaaS industry is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented and intensely deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to relate and communicate effectively across all levels of staff inside and outside the department.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, including proactively seeking solutions from internal and external resources.
  • Ability to prioritize projects, quickly determine the requirements to accomplish them, and analyze processes to figure out how to simplify, automate and improve them for increased efficiency.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information and a sense of strong business ethics.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience, through a mix of Big 4 experience, and corporate accounting and demonstrated increase of responsibilities and leadership preferably in the technology industry.


Compensation
The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and in addition to benefits this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses/incentives, and equity.
US Salary Range: $98,600 - $177,600.
