Job Description
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience in Finance/Accounting systems or tools implementations, program management, or product management.
- Experience with systems, accounting, operations, tax, internal controls, requirements documentation, testing, and validation.
- Experience in developing requirements and managing implementation of Finance/Accounting or Payments systems.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in driving insight, strategy, and roadmaps for Finance system features.
- Experience working in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment and ability to manage complex, highly ambiguous, large-scale programs with multiple workstreams.
- Ability to autonomously drive and prioritize multiple initiatives alongside Finance, Product, and Engineering teams.
- Ability to manage complex escalations in a timely and efficient way, effectively balancing business and technical risks.
- Ability to present to multiple teams on organized problem-solving and solution-implementation frameworks.
- Ability to present complex technical information in a clear concise manner with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
About the job
The Revenue Platforms team (RP) is an exciting Finance team working to ensure that any Google product can be supported to accept and send payments in a compliant and efficient manner. The Revenue Platforms team (RP), within the Business Controllership team, is in charge of driving system improvements for Finance within Google's Payments platform (GPP) and leading cross-functional initiatives for the most complex Platform changing launches.
This team acts as the key point-of-contact on behalf of all of Finance to triage all the concerns and root problems, gather requirements, act as the key liaison with the Payments Product Management and Engineering teams, and work with the cross-finance teams to execute the projects/programs. Our programs span across multiple teams and often work on Tax, Regulatory, Complex Product Launches, and Platforms Infrastructure projects.
As a member of this team, you will engage key stakeholders across Google to prioritize and rationalize platform requirements from Finance, define needed platform features and programs with our partners from the Payments organization to deliver new platform capabilities, and ensure smooth and successful launches to support our global accounting and operations teams. High-quality launches, collaborative project teams, and happy stakeholders define success for this role.
In this role, you will make systems solve complex regulatory challenges around the globe, including but not limited to, regulatory billing, tax compliance, and product-related launches.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$183,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of Google's Payments Platform (GPP), Google's internal system that powers business for Google's products, and capabilities to support Finance processes.
- Collaborate with a wide variety of cross-functional stakeholders to determine Business/Finance needs, identify platform gaps, evaluate implementation feasibility for Platform features, and assess impact/risk profile/priority.
- Develop programs and roadmaps for new system capabilities for Finance based on data/insights and influence stakeholders and the Finance leadership team to align and prioritize such capabilities.
- Manage and report on a portfolio of Google's Payments Platform (GPP) capabilities impacting Finance processes and associated value drivers/metrics.
- Lead stakeholders in the creation, prioritization, and rationalization of platform requirements for Finance features.
