Revenue Recognition Accountant

Responsible for preparing journal entries and reconciliations for the monthly general ledger close as well as assisting in the preparation and distribution of various financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, including the maintenance of standard journal entries. 

• Meet monthly closing calendar deadlines and communicate any issues on a timely basis.

• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations; including bank reconciliations.

• Assist with annual external audit including preparing assigned schedules for the annual audit and interim procedures.

• Research and resolve accounting errors and discrepancies.

• Coordinate with other departments to obtain information and/or to record and correct transactions.

• Provide analysis for variances in assigned balance sheet and expense accounts.

Qualifications
Required

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience

• Time management skills

• High attention to detail with excellent organization skills

• High level of professionalism with internal and external customers

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)

• Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate across organizational functions

Preferred

• CPA

• Experience working in FinancialForce or equivalent ERP platforms
