RF Antenna Engineer

Two Six Technologies is seeking an RF Antenna Engineer to support a variety of interesting R&D programs. Specifically, we are interested in candidates with RF electronics design experience, RF protocol design, and software-defined radio (SDR) development experience. The ideal candidate will provide their RF expertise to reverse engineer systems and develop RF applications.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform analysis of alternative designs and contribute to the overall RF architecture design. To accomplish this, the candidate must have a very strong understanding of antennas and RF sub-systems.
• Mentor team members and supervise design and development to provide new technical solutions that can be deployed to fielded systems.
• This position requires some job duties to be performed onsite due to the sensitive nature of this work and the desire for in-person collaboration, however, we offer flexible in-office hours and the ability to perform some job duties remotely.

Education Requirements:

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Each higher-level degree, i.e., a Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. The degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

Required Qualifications

• The ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance and willingness to obtain Polygraph clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Bachelor or Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering
• In-depth understanding of RF system design processes and trades.
• Knowledge of RF propagation, antenna structures, and their electromagnetic behavior.
• Experienced in using tools such as HFSS, COMSOL, CST, and MATLAB.
• Experience in designing, building, and testing prototype RF systems and antennas.
• Experience in antenna performance characterization using indoor test ranges.
• Hands-on experience with Vector Network Analyzers and Spectrum Analyzers.
• Must be eager to learn and develop additional technical skills.

Nice To Have:

• Experience characterizing RF transceivers with measurements such as noise figure, linearity, output power, SFDR, sensitivity, etc.
• Experience with software-defined radio development
• Development of link budgets, range estimates, and system sensitivity assessments.
• Experience using tools such as GRASP, ADS, and Python.
• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain a polygraph
