Job Duties and Responsibilities
Boost Mobile is looking for a RF Design Engineer II to support our national team. Engineers will report to the National Senior RF Engineering Manager and work with other cross functional teams within the market.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform RF design activities for building the first standalone 5G broadband network in the US.
• Conduct Monte Carlo analysis for network capacity evaluation and determine equipment and power configurations.
• Collaborate with RF Management to establish design criteria, link budgets, and traffic analysis for ongoing network improvements.
• Lead project teams and provide training/mentoring to junior engineers.
• Develop automation tools and create macros to optimize network operations.
• Manage data and support efficient network design and performance improvements.

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:

• BSEE/BSCS degree or equivalent experience with at least 3+ years of relevant working experience in 4G/5G

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in 3G/4G/5G and NR technologies, including RF design, KPIs, and O-RAN architecture.
• Expertise in macro and small cell RF design, link budgets, and propagation models for 3GPP technologies.
• Skilled in LTE/5G equipment setup, calibration, and data processing, with experience in tools like Planet or Atoll.
• Knowledge of drive test post-processing, frequency planning, and interference analysis using Windcatcher/Actix/Accuver.
• Experience with equipment co-location, inter-modulation analysis, EME, FCC reports, and writing MOPs.

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $83,160.00/Year - $118,800.00/Year
