Job Summary

The Principal Developer will display strong experience in RFID solution implementations and related technologies. You will build world-class applications meeting evolving requirements and improving our internal field operations environment. You will be customer focused, highly collaborative, and constantly seeking input to ensure success. You will be able to build and customize RFID software and hardware solutions from scratch.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Contributes strategic vision and integrates a broad range of ideas regarding applications, software and hardware development.
• Presents, communicates and articulates technical processes effectively to all levels of within business unit organizations.
• Designs, develop, test, document, and deploy high quality business RFID solutions based-on industry best practices as well as business needs.
• Leads technical design sessions, designing and documenting technical solutions that are aligned with the WM's business objectives.
• Articulates design and resolves technical design conflicts as they occur.
• Demonstrates understanding of/and detailed experience with architecture and API's.
• Displays expertise in implementations covering RFID embedded systems and applications.
• Conducts highly complex business process analysis, needs assessments, and leads in design sessions with architects in order to align information technology solutions with business initiatives.
• Leads highly complex projects requiring additional specialized technical expertise in software and hardware design and testing.
• Partners with teams to understand and implement product features in scope with RFID.
• Maintains working relationship and coordinates with several teams to integrate project with applications and/or initiatives.
• Thinks critically and challenge conventional thinking.
• Mentors and fosters growth of peers and team members.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Will coach and mentor less-experienced analysts and act as team leader on highly complicated system projects.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED and four (4) years of relevant work experience.
• Ten (10) years of previous experience required.

B. Other Preferred Experience

• 4+ years of experience in RFID Technology
• Proficiency in any software programming language
• Embedded electronic product design in firmware development
• Developing handheld devices that communicate wirelessly using RFID
• Developing system requirements for electronic sensors
