RFMSS Technical Lead

As an RFMSS Senior Information Assurance (IA)/Cybersecurity Technical Lead, you’ll develop and implement network security policies and procedures, with the goal to make an impact across the federal government.

What you’ll do: 

• Review IA procedures to include gathering IA metrics, tracking compliance with mandated policies, and providing recommendations for mitigating of IA deficiencies. 
• Ensure that software systems and mobile applications are designed, developed, tested, and implemented according to the highest security standards and practices, including but not limited to DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) or NSA Security Configuration Guides.
• Lead and/or support the Government and contractor team in conducting system security or IA assessments.
• Analyze infrastructure, applications environments, and web services from a security perspective.
• Execute threat management, vulnerability management, and breach management processes to prevent, detect, respond, and recover from security incidents and shall also provide security solutions and evaluate 8 the impact new or updated systems have on the security infrastructure.

What you’ll need to succeed: 

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field and 7 years of specialized experience in the following areas: developing and implementing network security policies and procedures, reviewing IA procedures to include gathering IA metrics, tracking compliance with mandated policies, and providing recommendations for mitigating of IA deficiencies.
• In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, 10 years of specialized experience in the following areas: developing and implementing network security policies and procedures, reviewing IA procedures to include gathering IA metrics, tracking compliance with mandated policies, and providing recommendations for mitigating of IA deficiencies.
