How you’ll make a difference:

You will report into our Solution Consulting and Enablement Team, which is an integral part of the Allego Commercial function. We focus on driving real business impact for prospects by being both technology and domain experts. We seek to discover our prospect’s challenges and objectives - then guide them toward lasting solutions. 

As a Proposal Manager, you will spend 60-75% of your time supporting Allego’s sales organization in the RFI/RFP process by preparing well-written, accurate and cohesive proposals in response to the prospect’s needs, while highlighting Allego’s experience, advantages, and benefits relative to the competition. You’ll partner with colleagues working in various functions internally (sales, account management, customer success, marketing, product & engineering) and externally (partners), to develop an overarching proposal and messaging strategy. You’ll be integral to Allego’s success by:

Responsibilities:

  • Managing, reviewing and collating inbound RFx (RFI, RFP) into comprehensive and professional response documents, which may cover Allego’s product and service offerings, as well as our development processes, information security controls, and/or data privacy handling procedures
  • Developing proposals and complete questionnaires that ensure prospects and customers fully grasp the value Allego can deliver, identify ways to demonstrate that value during the sales process, and guide customers on how to achieve identified value
  • Working cross-functionally to drive visibility and increase collaboration of high value, high opportunity business opportunities
  • Becoming an Allego SME - developing a deep technical understanding of the Allego Sales Learning and Enablement product and service offerings
  • Leveraging Allego’s content management, proposal management, and questionnaire response automation platforms to help you streamline and continually improve the proposal response process
  • Curating and maintain our existing repository of up-to-date product and security FAQ and related materials to ensure the end deliverables to prospects contain fresh, accurate information
  • Growing your information security knowledge to become a SME and go-to team member for related questions
  • Working closely with Sales Engineering teammates and Product Marketing to develop content and marketing assets for new product features and enhancements from Allego’s high volume release cycles

The ideal candidate will have: 

  • 5+ years of corporate experience, including 2+ years of experience in a role of this nature
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly and professionally convey the capabilities, ideas and value of the Allego product and services to a variety of audiences
  • Excellent writing, editing, and formatting skills, and an eye for design
  • The ability to effectively manage time and execute multiple project plans simultaneously which include multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines 
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • An understanding of SaaS application development, and familiarity with corporate information security concepts methodologies and ability to translate information into easily consumed working documents
  • Prior experience working with sales and/or marketing teams to map product features and capabilities to enterprise workflows, personas, and business value 
  • Ability to learn and adopt technology to establish efficient internal processes and/or prior use of enterprise content management systems and RFx response automation systems (i.e. Loopio)
  • Background and skills in graphic design is a plus
