RFP / Proposal Writer (Sales Advancement Team Specialist)
Job Description
Q2 is seeking an RFP Writer to join our Sales Advancement team. The Sales Advancement team sits within the Sales Center of Excellence and is responsible for the ownership and completion of Request for Proposal/Request for Information (RFP/RFI) responses, Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQ), and other written sales deliverables. Successful RFP responses are mission critical to the company’s overall sales goals. Our RFP Writers’ dedicated focus on quality documentation increases our ability to compete and win in the digital financial services market. We are seeking a qualified individual who thrives in a dynamic environment, is exceptionally detail-oriented with strong writing and communication skills, and understands the key stages and deliverables within sales cycles.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Author and collaborate on RFP, RFI, and DDQ response documents
· Create and refresh content, edit proposals, format, proofread, and peer review
· Contribute written and illustrated materials for net new sales, renewals, and cross-sales
· Manage multiple concurrent projects in various phases of completion
· Manage response delivery to the Sales and Relationship Management teams
· Perform independent research and collaborate with subject matter experts for content
· Produce high quality on-time deliverables that conform to documentation standards
· Maintain and contribute content to the RFP database (knowledge management system)
· Work collaboratively within the RFP team and across the organization
· Ensure adherence to security, confidentiality, and privacy policies
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
· Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Professional Writing, Business Marketing, or related fields (or equivalent relevant work experience)
· Minimum 5+ years of experience in banking and financial services, digital and mobile software sales, or RFP management in another industry
· Proficiency with sales and technical content writing and editing
· Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively by building relationships
· Familiarity with content management (writing, researching, editing, tone, presentation)
· Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, SharePoint)
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
· Experience working with or for banks, credit unions, or financial technology and services
· Knowledge of digital banking, lending, and financial services software providers
· Knowledge of project management methodologies
· Experience with RFP database systems (RocketDocs, Loopio, or equivalent)
· Familiarity with knowledge base systems (Confluence or equivalent)
· Familiarity with CRM (Salesforce or equivalent)
· Intermediate graphic design and layout skills
· Note: Writing and documentation samples will be requested to illustrate skills
